7 sachets containing heroin like substance recovered, 3 inmates booked<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, July 2, 2021:\u00a0 The jail staff has recovered 7 sachets containing heroin like substance and booked three inmates on the complaint of Gurnam Singh, Assistant Superintendent.<\/p>\n

Number of times recoveries of banned items have been made which has raised a question mark on the security arrangements as to how these are smuggled in.\u00a0 However, the vigil staff and in-puts have thwarted the attempt to its usages.<\/p>\n

On an in-put with the jail authorities, a raid was conducted by Assistant Superintendent at Langar Ahata when three inmates were sitting facing the sun rising side and on seeing the jail staff, Munish Kumar inmate, inhaled plastic envelope in his mouth.\u00a0 On taking out the plastic envelop, 7 small sachets were found with a white substance weighing 3.85 gm suspected to be heroin.<\/p>\n

A case on the complaint of Assistant Supdt has been registered under Section 42 of Prisons Act, against three inmates already in the jail identified as Munish Kumar, Jagga Singh and Hapreet Singh and further investigations are on with Raman Kumar, IO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
