Bike-lifter gang busted in Ferozepur<\/span><\/span>: Two held, 27 motorcycles recovered<\/p>\n

Ferozepur<\/span><\/span>, March 31, 2021:\u00a0 Ferozepur<\/span><\/span> Police claimed to have busted a bike-lifter gang on Wednesday with recovery of 27 motorcycles.<\/p>\n

The main accused identified as Gurpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh of Lakho<\/span><\/span> Ke Behram<\/span><\/span> and Neeraj<\/span><\/span> of Basti<\/span><\/span> Shekhan<\/span><\/span> in Ferozepur<\/span><\/span> were arrested while the third accomplice Manpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh alias Sonu<\/span><\/span> of Jhoke<\/span><\/span> Mohr, who managed to escape, is yet to be nabbed.<\/p>\n

SSP Bhagirath<\/span><\/span> Singh Meena<\/span><\/span> said the alleged accused were involved in bike lifting and further selling and some of the stolen bikes have been given by Gurpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh to his brother Manpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh.<\/p>\n

He said, \u2018Both the accused have a criminal background in already registered cases.\u00a0 While Gurpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh and Neeraj<\/span><\/span> in case of June 2020 under Section 302, 201 of Cr.PC and Neeraj<\/span><\/span> alias Niri<\/span><\/span> in the cases of 2012, 2013 and 2019 under Sections 380, 399 and402 and 457 of Cr.PC\u201d.<\/p>\n

SSP further said, \u201cBike theft cases were being reported in the past and working on a tip-off, the police team Birinder<\/span><\/span> Singh, DSP(City) and Manoj<\/span><\/span> Kumar, SHO managed to nab two accused identified as \u00a0Gurpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh of Lakho<\/span><\/span> Ke Behram<\/span><\/span> and Neeraj<\/span><\/span> of Basti<\/span><\/span> Shekhan<\/span><\/span> in Ferozepur<\/span><\/span> with 27 stolen motor cycles while the third accomplice Manpreet<\/span><\/span> Singh alias Sonu<\/span><\/span> of Jhoke<\/span><\/span> Mohr, who managed to escape, will also be arrested shortly\u201d. \u00a0\u00a0Meanwhile, both will be produced in the court to get police remand for further investigation and more recoveries are expected to come on surface.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
