First phase-First dose of <\/strong>Covid<\/b><\/span> vaccination to start from Jan. 16 in Ferozepur<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

Ferozepur<\/span>, January 14, 2021:\u00a0 In the first phase of Covid<\/span><\/span> vaccination to be started from January 16, 4,946 persons will be covered at seven health centres<\/span><\/span>, said Deputy Commissioner, Gurpal<\/span><\/span> Singh Chahal<\/span><\/span> while presiding over the District Level Task Force meeting.\u00a0 Rajdeep<\/span><\/span> Kaur<\/span><\/span>, ADC(G), and Dr.Rajinder Raj, Civil Surgeon were also present on this occasion.<\/p>\n

Addressing the meeting, DC said, \u00a0the Covid<\/span><\/span> vaccination in the district will start from January 16 for 15 days from 9 am to 5 pm and in the first phase 4,946 persons of government service, \u00a0private health centers employees, Asha<\/span><\/span> and Anganwadi<\/span><\/span> workers, will be covered.<\/p>\n

DC directed the concerned departments to cooperate in making this campaign successful especially the electricity department to ensure undisrupted power supply on the day of vaccination. He also asked the health department officials to make arrangements for generator also.<\/p>\n

Putting wiser in detail the present officers and officials, SMO Dr.Megha Parkash<\/span><\/span> from World Health Organization and Javed<\/span><\/span> Ahmad from UNDP<\/span><\/span> said, two doses of Corona vaccine will be given with a gap of 28 days.<\/p>\n

Dr.Rajinder Raj, Civil Surgeon said in the first phase 7 vaccination centers<\/span><\/span> \u2013 CHC Guruharsahai<\/span><\/span>, Zira<\/span><\/span>, Mamdot<\/span><\/span>, Ferozshah<\/span><\/span>, Makhu<\/span><\/span>, Civil Hospital and Baghi<\/span><\/span> Hospital have been earmarked and this number can be increased on need basis.\u00a0 The first dose will be given to 100 persons at each center<\/span><\/span>, in a single day at 7 centers.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, District Immunization Officer Dr. Dr. Satpal<\/span><\/span> Bhagat<\/span><\/span> , District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Sushma<\/span><\/span> Thakur<\/span><\/span>, Deputy Medical Commissioner Rajinder<\/span><\/span> Manchanda<\/span><\/span> , SMO Dr. Ferozepur<\/span><\/span> \u00a0Dr.Meenakshi , SMO Mamdot<\/span><\/span>, Ranjiv<\/span><\/span> Bains<\/span><\/span> , SMO Ferozshah<\/span><\/span> Dr.Vanita Bhullar<\/span><\/span>, officials of various departments, \u00a0Secretary Red Cross Ashok<\/span><\/span> Behl<\/span><\/span> , Executive Officer, Municipal Council Parminder<\/span><\/span> Singh, and District Mass Media Officer Ranjiv<\/span><\/span> were also present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
