Ferozepur, January 6, 2021:\u00a0 Sometime back, the government has invited suggestions by January 16, for merging the revenue department work of \u2018Fard Kendar\u2019 opened in the Tehsils and Sub-Tehsils with the Suwidha Centres for issuing \u2018fard\u2019 \u2013 land revenue record, but majority of the persons having dealing with the \u2018Fard Kendar\u2019 are of the view that it should continue to function instead of merging with Suwidha Kendars.<\/p>\n

Sapna Tayal, Vice President Cantonment Board and Ashok Kumar, Raj Kumar and others also said, the Sewa Kendras are already over loaded with the work for providing various services to the people.\u00a0 With the transfer of work of Fard Kendras, the work load at Sewa Kendras will further increase, causing inconvenience to the public in providing on time services.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the number of Suwidha Kendars have been closed down and such decision of shifting the work of Fard Kendars to Suwidha Kendars will cause inconvenience to the people as the farmers are presently getting the land revenue old and new record under one roof.<\/p>\n

Keeping in view the service to the public, we demand that the work of issuing the \u2018fard\u2019 should continue at the Tehsil and Sub Tehsil levels to save the time and money of the people, they said.<\/p>\n

Harmeet Vidyarthi, Retired Kanungo when contacted said, at Fard Kendras, the online computerized Fard service is available within 5-10 minutes and too at reasonable price of Rs.25 per page as the staff already is trained.\u00a0 Whereas, at Sewa Kendras,\u00a0 one has to deposit the additional facilitation fees which will be extra burden on the common man.<\/p>\n

Confirming about the move, SDM Amit Gupta said, the Suwidha Kendra is already providing number of services and recently the issuing of driving licence is also being added to its services.\u00a0 It would be more convenient if the already trained staff continue to work independently in Fard Kender.<\/p>\n
