Fire destroys surgical equipment shop<\/p>\n

Fereozpur<\/span>, January 3, 2021: \u00a0Panic gripped the busy Rajguru<\/span> Complex area here after a fire broke out in a surgical equipment store on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

A major fire broke out in a surgical equipment shop at Ferozepur<\/span> City on Saturday night. Properties worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes in the blaze.<\/p>\n

Immediately on noticing the fire by the watchman of the area, informed the owner that some voices are coming from inside the shop.\u00a0 On opening the shop, there was a blast of glass window panes and the fire-brigade was informed.\u00a0 The fire services rushed to the spot and launched a massive operation to douse the flames.<\/p>\n

Chief Fire Officer informed that the two fire tenders controlled the fire by early morning. The blaze was effectively controlled by the firefighters. Though there was a loss of goods in lakhs yet the fire tenders saved its further spread to the adjoining shops. The loss is estimated to be around Rs.15-20 lakhs.<\/p>\n

The owner of the shop Rohit<\/span> Bajaj<\/span> has appealed to the district administration for financial assistance.<\/p>\n

The exact cause of the fire can be ascertained only after a probe but initially<\/span>, the fire incident is said to be due to a short circuit.\u00a0 In fact, no safety measures are put in such small stores even it houses cotton and chemicals along with medical accessories and equipment.<\/p>\n
