In Punjab, total sweep of Congress in Municipal Elections  

Akali & BJP to contest Municipal Council elections jointly :Kamal Sharma

Ferozepur, February 3 (FON Bureau) : Akali & BJP alliance will contest Municipal Council elections jointly in the state and the candidates only with good standing and honest will be fielded.  The survey is being conducted at the district level, for fielding the candidates in the different wards, said Kamal Sharma, Punjab BJP President.

Kamal Sharma was here to induct one MC in BJP leaving the Congress party.

In reply to the question, Kamal Sharma said, both Akali and BJP will contest the Municipal Elections jointly and a detailed meeting on the subject had already been held with the Chief Minister.

He claimed that there will be total sweep of Congress in the municipal elections.

Talking about the aim of the party, he said, our main object is over-all development of urban and rural areas in Punjab and to provide all the basic amenities by strengthening the harmony and good-will.
