In Phase-II, DC Ferozepur gets Covid-19 Vaccine shot
Ferozepur, February 5, 2021: In the second phase of immunization for Covid 19 in Ferozepur the frontline workers are being vaccinated and today Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur, Gurpal Singh Chahal made a significant contribution in this campaign by getting vaccinated by the health department team at Civil Hospital Ferozepur.
Deputy Commissioner, Gurpal Singh Chahal said that for the prevention of Corona disease, with Covid 19 vaccination was being carried out by the Health Department under different phases to cover the health workers.
He appealed to all the frontline workers who have received the message of Covid 19 vaccination from the health department, must get vaccinated by visiting the specified place indicated in the message.
Civil Surgeon Dr.Rajinder Raj said, in the first phase 778 health workers got vaccinated and in the second phase, so far 63 have been given the Covid-19 vaccine shots.
He said this was the beginning of the end of the pandemic and urged people not to fall prey to rumours regarding vaccination, as it was safe and efficacious. He said health workers have been covered under the first phase of the inoculation drive and others were getting the shot as per the schedule. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration for a smooth and hassle-free immunization drive ,he added.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen.) Rajdeep Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Raj, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Rajinder Bains, SMO Gurmej Ram was also present.
