In 8 months, 89,952 services provided at 26 Rural and Urban Service Centres in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 15, 2023: As many as 426 types of services related to different departments are being provided to the people, at the Rural and Urban Service Centres and so far as Ferozepur is concerned, 89,952 such services have been provided at 26 Service Centres in the district from January 2023 to August 2023., as per the instructions of the Punjab Government under the administrative reforms.
Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner said, the services to the people at the Services Centres are being provided in a timely manner, related to different departments.
He said, a total of 95,128 applications from various departments have been received from January 2023 to August 2023 in 9 Service Centers and 17 Village Service Centers in urban areas of district Ferozepur, out of which 32,668 are related to health and family welfare, 5,291 of Justice, 10,802 of Personnel, 19,399 of Revenue and Resettlement, 716 of Rural Development and Panchayat, 8,877 of Social Security Women and Child Development, 17,373 of SC/BC Welfare have been received which were disposed of in time. Apart from this, applications related to various other departments were also received, which have also been disposed of on time.
DC said that apart from these services, some other services such as money transfer, insurance (motor vehicle), dengue insurance, and mobile/DTH recharge services have been provided in the service center along with lottery services. He said that all these government services come under the ‘Right to Service’ Act and these services are being provided to the people in a timely manner under this Act.
