Huge recoveries by Ferozepur police during 2023 under NDPS, Excise,  Arms Acts

Ferozepur, December 31, 2023:  The Ferozepur police had been active throughout the last year and made huge recoveries under the NDPS Act, Excise Act and Arms Act.

As per the available information, under the NDPS Act, during the year 2023, 89.918 kg heroin, 235.150 kg poppy husk, 13.643 kg opium, 1,07,480 habit-forming tablets,  one injection, 1590 intoxicant powder, 147 kg bhang and Rs.43.52 lac drug money besides arrest of 719 accused in 579 cases.

Similarly, under the Excise Act, 263 accused were arrested in 202 cases with the recovery of 9,183 ltr illicit liquor, 2,892 ltr licit liquor 17,338  ltr lahan and 13 working stills.

Under the Arms Act, in 25 cases, 34 accused were arrested with seizure of  5 revolvers, 2 rifles, 25 pistols, 57 cartridges and 5 magazines.
