Three mobiles and banned items recovered from inside jail
Ferozepur, June 12, 2021: In two different search operations, inside the jail premises, three mobiles and other banned items were recovered from jail inmates.
This is not the first time earlier also on number of times, some packet or balls containing the mobiles and other banned items have been found.
As per the information, during the search operation by Gurbhej Singh Assistant Superintendent, one mobile, with battery and Idea SIM card was recovered from prisoner under trial Harcharan Singh of Delhi.
In the second incident, one small Beer can was thrown inside the jail over the high walls by unidentified persons and on its opening, ‘zarda’ and 7 sachets of ‘kali’ were found and during the search of barrack number 2, one mobiles of Vivo touch screen with Airtel company SIM and one mobile of Samsung key pad with batter and SIM Card were recovered, from the back side of central jail factory, kept hidden dumped on the ground by making a hole.
On the complaints of Gurbhej Singh and Hari Singh, Assistant Superintendents, a case has been registered under prisons Act and further investigations are on. But smuggling in of banned item has put a question mark on the security arrangements of jail despite strict vigil at the entry points.
