Holy Scriptures of Ramayana found burnt in Valmiki Mandir

Ferozepur, October 21, 2019:  In the past there had been number of incidents of sacrilege and burning of holy scriptures in the state and there is a great resentment among the people and today one such incident of burning of holy scriptures of Ramayana has come to notice in Ferozepur in Basti Sunwan.

The incident of burning was noticed by Pathi Singh who used to come daily in the morning when smoke was seen outside the room.  The fire was distinguished by the people gathered there and a report to this effect was given to the nearby police station.  However, the immediate cause of burning could not be ascertained.  The police will investigate into the incident as today the staff was busy in byelection in the adjoining district.
