Great response to “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign 2.0, 23,930 National Flags sold at Post Office Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 12, 2023: “Har Ghar Tiranga ” Campaign 2.0 got good response from the citizes and 23,930 National Flags have been sold at Post Office Ferozepur since its launch on August 4. The government has urged people to hoist or display the tricolour in their homes during August 13-15 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
This initiative aims to promote patriotism and national pride among citizens.
To achieve this, the post office has set up a ‘selfie point’ featuring photographs of postal tickets and philately frames. This creative approach aims to encourage people to take pictures with the tricolour and share their patriotic spirit with friends and family.
For the coming Independence Day on 15th August, 2023, the Government of India has launched “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign 2.0 in which all Citizens are encouraged to participate in hoisting the National Flag in their homes.
The government has launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Ahiyan 2.0’ after the staggering success of the previous year. The campaign not only provides an opportunity for citizens to display their love for the country but also supports the postal department in fulfilling their social responsibility.
In this campaign, the Department of Posts is the agency for sale and distribution of quality National Flags to all members of the public at a very reasonable rate @ approx. Rs. 25/- per flag.
During a visit to the Post Office today by our correspondent for purchase of the National Flag, Harjinder Kaur, Postmaster, Ferozepur Cantt informed that there has been a good response from the public since the launch of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign for the purchase of National Flags. She said, we have so far sold 23,930 National Flags.
She further said, “To make the process more accessible, individuals can also order the tricolour online through the official website www.epostoffice.gov.in. People can place order flags by entering the mobile number and a one-time password. During the order placement, essential details such as name, address, mobile number, and the number of flags required will be required. Each user can order a maximum of 5 flags, ensuring widespread availability for everyone”.
This noble initiative serves as a reminder that the Indian tricolour is not just a piece of cloth; it represents the unity and diversity of the nation. As the campaign continues to inspire millions of people across the country, the Tricolour will undoubtedly fly high, symbolizing the unwavering spirit of India and its citizens towards a brighter future, said Mandeep Kumar, grandson of freedom fighter Harbans Singh Kumar.
