Govt. should not pass time in discussions and ‘game of statistics’ but regularize the contractual staff: Imran
Ferozepur October 18, 2016 : The state government assurance to regularize the contractual employees looked converted into excuses and passing time in discussions and ‘game of statistics’ in view of Assembly elections due in early 2017 instead of regularisation of employees regardless of the meetings at various levels.
Stating this to the media persons, State President, Imran Bhatti and State Press Secretary Rajinder Singh further said, the employees under Sarv Sikhya Abhiyan (SSA) working for the last 12 years who joined the services after passing the recruitment process including passing of written test but the government has adopted the dilly-dallying attitude for regularising them.
He said, the government is giving statements to the various media houses to regularize the employees but the last few Cabinet meetings – latest on October 5 with the Education Minister – have ended without any fruitful results. Even the statement by Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister Punjab to regularise those employees who fulfil the required terms and conditions shortly but we are not sure as to when this day will come.
Giving warning to the government, they said, ‘Don’t test the patience of the employees in the ‘game of statistics’ of the coming Assembly elections due in early 2017 and regularize the employees without any delay and cutting short the meeting culture.
