Garhi, BSP State President submits 12-Point memorandum to Governor Punjab over reservation policy
Feroepur, August 31, 2022: On Thursday, State President of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Jasvir Singh Garhi along with party leaders and workers submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, to drawn attention towards unconstitutional policy decision against the OBCs and common man, for allegedly not giving the SCs/STs their due Constitutional rights. A similar protest has been lodged in all districts of the state today.
Earlier also a memorandum has been given in the name of Governor, Punjab through the Deputy Commissioners in the state, protesting against no reservation policy being considered for the appointment of law officers in the state. They had also demanded the filing of an FIR against the Punjab Advocate General for not allowing the reservation policy in the appointment of law officers.
The memorandum includes for not taking action in the case of Inder Lal of Jalaur in Rajasthan school, for beating the dalit boy by teacher for touching drinking water, ignoring the consideration of medical officers for mohalla clinics by Baba Farid University, similarly no reservation in 84 posts of doctors under National Health Mission (NHM) and in Punjab police recruitment of 153 youths, keeping mum over 85th Constitutional amendment for reservation in promotion and others.
The Bahujan Samaj Party has announced that its leaders and workers will protest if the state government remains adamant on its stand on giving no reservation in the appointment of 178 law officers for Punjab.
State President Garhi said the stand taken by the state government clearly shows the ‘anti-Dalit attitude’ of the AAP government. He appealed to the Government Punjab to issue directions to the Punjab government for taking appropriate action.
