Gakhar IPS (former IG) bereaved, mother expires, cremation today at 2 PM at Ferozepur

Ferozepur, October 24, 2016:  Kaushalaya Devi, 87 mother of Sham Lal Gakhar, IPS (former IG), expired today morning due to illness at DMC Hospital Ludhiana.

Sham Lal Gakhar, IPS former IG, is known for his honesty and dedication to work with transparency, during his tenure in Police Department.

The deceased is survived by six sons – Subhash Gakhar, Branch Officer (Retd.) MARKFED, Parkash Chand, Sham Lal, Surinder Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Paramjit Kumar alias Kala.

Cremation would be today at 2 PM at Ferozepur City Cremation Ground.
