Frontline health workers protest in support of Paramjeet Kaur died during Covid-19 duty
Ferozepur, August 6, 2020: Health workers are the frontline soldiers against Covid-19 and denying the benefits of financial assistance and job to the eligible family members will be injustice beside discouraging for the young generation to join the challenging professions, said Narinder Sharma, Vice President, Multipurpose Health Workers Union Male Female Punjab, while protesting in support of Paramjeet Kaur, Multipurpose Health Worker Female who died while on Corona duty at Sudhar Primary Health Centre in Ludhiana.
He said, as per the instructions of the government, the victim should get Rs.50 of insurance amount and a job to one of the family members.
Putting a demand before the government, Narinder Sharma said, in case the due rights are not given to the family of Paramjit Kaur, the Union will give a state-wide bandh call for a massive protest.
Apart from others, the para medial union members were also present along with Ravinder Sharma, Punit Mehta Jaswinder Singh, Jagjit Singh, Dr.Lalit Sangeeta, Paramjit Balwwinder Kaur, Rakesh Kumar Boota Singh, Ramandeep Gurmel Singh Nima and Amandeep Kaur.
