Foundation distributes copies of Bhagwat Gita to 40 old persons as birthday gifts to mark the celebration of International NGO Day.
Ferozepur, February 27, 2021: Ferozepur-based – social welfare organization Mayank Foundation celebrated International NGO Day at Bagban- the home for the olds. The core members of the foundation gifted away the copies of the Bhagwat Geeta to the 40 senior citizens whose birthday was celebrated during the occasion.
Deepak Sharma of the foundation dwelt upon the importance of the day and told that that the International NGO Day is celebrated on February 27 every year.
The day is observed to mark the importance of social welfare non- profit organizations in society. These organisations play a pivotal role in accomplishing many tasks of the welfare of the society.
Chairman of the Senior Citizen Council Madan Lal Tiwari and President PD Sharma thanked the foundation for spending quality time with the senior citizens who are living in the old home Baghban.
Roshan Lal Sethi, HC Chopra, Vinod Grover, Vinod Grover, Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Makhan Lal, Swaran Singh, Ramesh Prabhakar, Mohider Bajaj, Tilak Raj, Harish Sharma, Rohit and Vipul Narang, Deepak Grover, Deepak Narula of the foundation were also present among the inmates.
