Ferozepur, January 4,2021: Former Punjab Cabinet Minister and five-time Congress MLA and senior All India Congress leader Pandit Bal Mukand Sharma was laid to rest with state honors on Monday.
Earlier, political spectrum Jalalabad MLA Raminder Awla, Information Commissioner Anumit Singh Hira Sodhi, District President Congress Gurcharan Singh Nahar paid their last respects to the senior Congress leader at his residence. Deputy Commissioner Gurpal Singh Chahal, SSP Bhupinder Singh, SDM Amit Gupta paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
Added here, Pandit Bal Mukund Sharma died on January 2 at PGI Chandigarh and today the cremation was performed at Zira Gate Cremation Ground.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Police contingent also paid tributes as per protocol. All present at this occasion, political leaders, social and religious organizations representative, locals sharing their grief with the family members of Pt Bal Mukand Sharma – Rajinder Sharma, Advocate Gulshan Sharam, Vinod Sharma sons. Gulshan Sharma said, it was a coincidence that January 2 the day of death of our father was also his 90th birthday. On this occasion, Harinder Khosa, Sukhwinder Attari, Balvir bath, Rishi Sharma and others were also present.
