First ‘Book Bank’ to come up in Ferozepur at Santosh Seva Kunj
Ferozepur, June 12. 2022: A first ‘Book Bank’ initially with 1,000 books in the first phase, in Ferozepur, will be set up, at Santosh Seva Kunj, in a house handed over to the leading local NGO – Mayank Foundation – by the Ferozepur-based family, now settled in Ludhiana.
Impressed by the four-year social works in various fields of Mayank Foundation, Santosh Seva Kunj (SSK), named in sweet memory of departed parents Harbans Lal and Santosh Kumarithe ancestral house named by Rajendra Monga and his sisters Renu and Mamta in Gali Ganga Mandir Wali at Bansi Gate of Ferozepur City, was handed over to them, to be exclusively used for the welfare works of needy class.
Now the first book bank of Ferozepur will open in this house. Apart from this, a coaching center will be run in this building in which children of poor families will be given free preparation. On Sunday, the house was formally handed over after the ‘Havan’ to the Mayank Foundation as until now the institution did not have its own permanent building.
Rajinder Monga son said, I feel that remembering the departed souls by dedicating the ancestral house, named Santosh Seva Kunj, to be used for social services, is to keep them alive for times to come.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Anirudh Gupta, President, and Deepak Sharma, Founder, Mayank Foundation said, we will open free coaching for children from poor families and the first ‘Book Bank’ with more than 1,000 books in the first phase.
Thanking the donor family, Rakesh Kumar, Secretary said, now the organization will be able to contribute to social service with more responsibility.
