Ferozepur, December 6, 2020:  Floral tributes were paid to Jage Ram Principal, Govt. College Ambala, died due to a heart attack on November 8 at Home for the Blinds on the occasion of Ramayan Path dedicated to him.  Jage Ram was 58 years old and left behind his wife and daughter.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.Rajesh Mohan, Music Lecturer at Barjindra College, Faridkot, and General Secretary Punjab National Federation of Blinds,  who was here in Ferozepur to attend the concluding of Ramayan Path held dedicated to Jage Ram.

He  said, Jage Ram was also General Secretary, NFB, Haryana and Coordinator of North-West Committee. He along with me worked for the welfare of visually impaired persons during the last two decades especially in the field of getting the eligible youths employed in government service against the reserved one percent quota for the visually impaired persons.

Prof Sham Sunder, Anil Kumar Gupta, Harjit Singh, Ram Ganesh, Zuber and many more joined in paying tributes to Jage Ram.   They remembered the golden moments spent with Jage Ram.  They also highlighted the institution established at Ambala for the development of the visually impaired of the area., added Prof Rajesh Mohan.

He said, the visually impaired also pledged to continue to work for the welfare of the community which was started by Jage Ram.

On this occasion, a Committee of the Old Students Association of Home for the Blinds, Ferozepur was also constituted with members of Anil Gupta, Ram Ganesh, Convener, Harnek Singh Cashier, Manoj Kumar Member to set in motion more vigorously the activities of the inmates.

Prof Ram Murti from Delhi Univesity, Prof Pal Galhotra and others also sharing their sentiments online taking the advantage of the digital world and restricting the movements due to the corona pandemic.
