Ferozepur Traffic Police holds training under Safe School Vahan Policy
Ferozepur, April 5, 2024: A training camp under the Safe School Vahan Policy was organized by Ferozepur Traffic Police at Police Lines, to implement the rules by holding bus checking and to create awareness among the school management and school bus drivers. During the last week, 40 challans were issued for buses violating the Safe School Vahan Policy in Ferozepur.
The event was presided over by Soumya Mishra, SSP Ferozepur. The seminar was attended by traffic police employees, the District Child Security Unit and school bus drivers. SSP also checked the buses by boarding in the buses.
In the seminar, the participants were advised to follow the road safety rules and adopt safety measures. Besides maintaining the emergency protocol, having fire extinguishers, controlling the prescribed speed limit, not overloading the buses, having the school name, address and phone number on the back of us, the driver wearing the proper uniform with a nameplate so that security is ensured to the students while travelling in the buses.
SSP said the objective of this training program is to create awareness among educational institutions and bus drivers to keep students safe during their commute and reduce traffic-related risks. In case of violation, appropriate legal action will be taken against them as per the law.
