To help the homeless, poor and needy people of this border town, who have to face chilling cold in this winter season, few intellectuals and social workers belonging to this border town have created “Diwar-E-Meharbani – Wall of Kindness”.
Telling more about this “Wish wall”, Ashok Behal, Secretary, Red Cross, Dr. Satinder Singh, government teacher and a renowned educationist of this border town, Shailender Kumar, owner of Harish Hotel, Davinder Nath, Government teacher and others told this correspondent while the world will be welcoming the new year, they decided to do something for those who have no hope in their eyes.
“We have urged people to donate their woolen clothes which will be placed near the wall and whosoever needs it, can take it”, said Dr. Satinder Singh.
“People waste thousands of rupees to celebrate. Wouldn’t it be nice to donate something for the needy people”, said Ashok Behal.
