Ferozepur Police up in arms to put a check amid surge in coronavirus cases
Ferozepur, March 20, 2021: With gradually increasing Corona positive cases in Ferozepur, by not following the guidelines of the health department, the police department is up in arms amid surge in coronavirus cases.
SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena himself on Friday late evening monitored the wearing of masks by the general public. Not only this, even the health department team was stationed at the Udham Singh Chowk for Corona sampling of those not wearing masks, irrespective of any age.
As a part of awareness campaign in view of the alarming situation of corona positive cases in the past 20 days, the police also distributed the masks to the general public on the roads.
On this occasion, SSP said, the citizens are not serious about the increase in Corona virus positive cases in the city and this is the reason, police has to come to into action for implementation of the guidelines of the health department. We have distributed masks to the people on the roadside besides RTPCR testing for Corona.
Making an appeal to the people, shopkeepers to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures of wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining physical distance at the crowded places, SSP said, violators will be dealt with heavy hands, as per the instructions and law adding “Only with the cooperation of people, we can win over the coronavirus”.
