Ferozepur police trace gold chain snatcher of Journalist’s wife
Ferozepur, March 29, 2024: The police were successful today with the arrest of accused Kamaljit Singh alias Sunny of Sher Khan village, to solve the snatching incident of March 9, when the senior journalist was targeted by a snatcher when he was going towards Ferozepur Cantt, with his wife, on his Activa bike.
In this incident took place near Kile Wala Chowk, a gold chain, weighing 30 gm, was snatched from the neck of his wife, and in this occurrence, Jagdish Kumar Journalist was injured. He was later admitted to the Civil Hospital while the snatcher managed to escape from the scene leaving the motorbike. Jagdish has to be operated to put a steel plate on his right wrist.
Randhir Kumar SP informed that as per directions of the SSP police teams of DSPs were constituted to trace the accused and today, Kamaljit Singh who was hiding from the day of the incident was traced by the team headed by DSP, using the technical and human intelligence. The accused is already involved in 8 criminal cases. He will be produced before the court to get his remand for in-depth investigation, with a special focus on to surface the other snatching gang members associated with him, and further action will be initiated as per law.
