Ferozepur Police seize Rs 35 lac assets of drug offender amid ongoing anti-narcotics drive
Ferozepur, August 29, 2024: In a major crackdown against drug-related crimes, the property of Dawinder Singh @ Bhaman, son of Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Phero Ke, Police Station Sadar Zira, District Ferozepur, has been frozen. Dawinder Singh, who is already facing multiple charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, including FIR No. 183 dated December 1, 2022, has had his house on a 15-marla plot in village Phero Ke, valued at ₹35,35,000, frozen following orders from the Competent Authority.
The recovery of 500 grams of heroin in this case led to the formation of a special team comprising DSP Zira Gurdeep Singh, SHO, and SI Jyoti. This action is part of an ongoing campaign against drugs in Ferozepur, which has seen more than ₹15 crore worth of properties frozen during 2023. The authorities have pledged to continue their efforts to make Ferozepur a drug-free district.
