Ferozepur police panel dispose of seized drugs property in 204 cases
Ferozzepur, January 4, 2023: The Ferozepur police have disposed of drugs seized in 204 cases under NDPS Act, in the presence of members of High Level Drug Disposal Committee, as per the guidelines of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The vigil against drug peddling had been stepped up by the police, on directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who is acting on mission mode to rid the state of the drug menace, resulting in this huge recovery.
The seized drugs – 93.933 gm heroin in 14 cases, 846.630 kg poppy husk, 35,222 tablets, 3336 capsules, 5.758 mg smack, 1.100 powder, 80 gm charas, 2 injections, 12 syrup bottles, 62.240 kg opium, were disposed as per the rules on the subject.
The High Level Drug Disposal Committee disposed of the seized proper in the presence under the tutelage of Ranjit Singh, DIG Ferozepur Range, Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP, Ferozepur, Gurmit Singh SP(Investigation) and DSPs, keeping in view the guidelines of the Punjab and Haryana High Court at M/s Sukhbir Agro Enterprises Liited (SAEL) at Hakumat Singh Wala.
