Ferozepur police nab 3 drug pushers; recover opium, habit forming drugs
Ferpzepur, July 5, 2022: The Ferozepur police claimed to have arrested three drug pushers opium with recovery of 2.600 kg opium and 5,000 habit forming drugs.
Divulging with details, Gurbinder Singh, Superintendent Police informed that the police campaign against drug peddlers in the district, in two different inputs, three persons were nabbed by a team headed by Jagdish Kumar DSP(D and CIA incharge Janak Raj, with recovery of 2.600 kg opium and 5,000 habit forming drugs. The arrested persons have been identified as Amrinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh were arrested with habit forming drugs while going on a motorcycle from Zira to Makhu were intercepted
In another case, Sukhmanjeet Singh of Sher Khurd village in Jagraon Teshil Ludhiana district, was arrested with recovery of 2.600 gm on a tip-off, carrying on a motorcycle.
All the three alleged accused have been booked under NDPS Act. The vehicle used was also impounded. They will be produced in the court to get a remand for further investigation, to crack the supply chain, said SSP Charanjit Singh Sohal.
