Ferozepur police in action mode to curb crimes, 11 held including one juvenile with motorcycles mobiles, pistol, rounds, heroin
Ferozepur, October 11, 2023: The Ferozepur police is up in arms and in action mode due to snatching and theft incidents in the district and got success in arresting 5 accused including one juvenile with recovery of motorcycles mobiles, pistol, rounds, and heroin
Divulging with the details, Randhir Kumar, SP(D) informed that all possible efforts are being made to stop the incidents of snatching and thefts in the district and for the purpose special teams have been formed under the tutelage of gazetted officers (GOs) for action against the anti-social and mischievous elements.
He disclosed that 10 stolen motorcycles have been recovered with the arrest of one persons- Gurjit Singh of Markhai village in Ferozepur, and two persons- Daler Singh of Khai Pheme Ki and Gaggi of Canal Colony yet to be arrested, with one pistol with magazine, 2 rounds 7.65 along, one missed fire round and three empty rounds. On in depth investigation, it has been found that Daler Singh is involved in 18 criminal cases registered against him in Fatehabad Haryana, Mansa, Ferozepur, Budhlada Mansa, Faridkot, Makhu Ferozepur, Islamabad Amritsar under various Sections of IPC and Arms Act.
In another arrest of two accused – Lokesh Kumar alias Bablu of Ferozepur Cantt and Satish Kumar Chopra of Ferozepur Cantt – 7 stolen mobiles have been seized from them. A complaint was lodged by Savita Goyal of Defence Colony Ferozepur and they were nominated for snatching an Apple phone and Rs.8000 cash. Earlier, two accused Kaka alias Kaki of Hake Wala, later on Pawan alias Rohit alias Mooli of Ferozepur Cantt were arrested along with one juvenile.
In the third operation against the bad elements, 6 accused –Manpreet Singh of Jalalwala in Ferozepur, Vakir Singh alias Baggi of Dhipa Wali in Fazilka with one motorcycle and ‘kapa’, Khushkaran Singhalias Karan of Satiya Wala with 187 gm heroin Manpreet Singh, Jagjiwan Singh of Bharana in Ferozepur with one motorcycle, Jagjit Singh alias Jeeta with 80gm heroin and one motorcycle – have been arrested with recovery of 267 gm, 2 motorcycles, one bullet motorcycle, two ‘kapas’ and one mobile phone, he added.
He said, we are fully alert over the situation, especially in view of the coming festival days, the campaign against the criminals will be continued, to make the district crime free.
