Ferozepur police Cyber-crime wing issues advisory to be Cyber Smart
Ferozepur, March 9, 2023: The Ferozepur police, Cyber-crime wing, through its social media messages, has issued advisory to be Cyber Smart to be cautious of fraudsters who have found new ways to trap and dupe people, by making fake calls, and black mailing and not to share any personal information.
One of its advisory on Twitter, the police has warned that cyber criminals can make a video call as a girl or boy and can blackmail by recording your chat.
According to cyber crime officials, most of the people don’t verify the numbers after they receive such messages and get trapped. These fraudsters pose as officers and dupe people by sending them suspicious links on the social media or by personally calling.
The advisory further said that never respond to any stranger’s call and even don’t share your personal information or share video online. They should verify the source once they receive any lucrative message or offer.
