Ferozepur Police achieves major success in Anti-Narcotic Operation, 2 held with 6.655 kg heroin, Rs 6 lac drug money
Ferozepur, August 8, 2024: In a significant victory against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, Ferozepur Police apprehended two drug smugglers and seized 6.655 kg of heroin along with Rs 6 lakhs in drug money near the Indo-Pak border.
SSP Saumya Mishra reported that the operation was executed by the District Ferozepur CIA team, acting on technical inputs.
Following a successful raid, an FIR has been registered against the smugglers, and identity and location of accused has not been disclosed as investigations are underway to uncover their network’s forward and backward linkages.
The SSP emphasized that the Ferozepur police remain steadfast in their commitment to dismantling drug networks and achieving a drug-free state, in line with the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
