Ferozepur: Lok Adalat settles 712 cases with Rs.15 cr awards

Ferozepur, July 10.2021:  The National Lok Adalat was held on Saturday in the country under directions of National Legal sErvices Authority Delhi. In the Lok Adalat today, out of 2,434 cases, 712 cases were settled with award of Rs.15 crore and 63 cases out of 958 of pre-litigation cases with award of Rs.25,04,396.

In the courts of Ferozepur 10 Bench, a permanent Lok Adalat one Bench and 2 Bench at Zira were constituted following the directions of NLSC Delhi, under the tutelage of Kishore Kumar, District and Sessions Judge.

He said that the decision taken into the national Lok Adalats is the final, which cannot be challenged in any other courts. He also claimed that Lok Adalats save the time and money of the people and help in maintaining peace in the society.

Giving information about the Mediation Centre, he said, the people can settle their cases at their own with mutual understanding and those who are unable to go to the court can also get their cases settled by giving an application. Cases settled here also no appeal and harmony is maintained.

At the end, he addressed the media persons saying –End disputes, increase love, get cheap and quick justice through Lok Adalats.
