Ferozepur logs 1,250 COVID-19 infections during last week, one death in 24 hrs

Ferozepur, January 28, 2022: The Covid-19 infection cases in the district are increasing gradually and in the last 24 hrs, 219 positive cases have been reported with one death.

During the last one week, as many as 1,250 positive cases including 22 of today, have been reported and still 910 are active cases in the district.  In the past, students, teachers, employees, BSF officials have been infected with the virus. The death tally is 517 including one today of 80 years old.

So far, 3,50,632 samples were taken since the outbreak of coronavirus in this part of the country, out of which 3,33,544 were tested negative, 17,088 positive and 15,663 recovered.  There had also been recovery of 169 positive patients and results of 405 samples are still awaited.

In view of gradual increase in positive cases, the vaccination drive has been intensified besides making appeal to the residents to  wear masks, avoid joining the crowded place and following social distancing irrespective of the fact that you have got vaccinated or not.

As of now, 9,21,836 have been given the vaccination dose to 60 plus age group, 45 plus, HCW, FLW, lactating mother, pregnant women and precaution dose.
