Ferozepur bagged 9 medals in State Level Boxing Competitions
Ferozepur, May 17, 2017: In the recent concluding state level boxing completitions at Sansarpur in Jalandhar, nine players of border town Ferozepur bagged 9 medals.
In the competitions, while Sbhuam bagged Siliver, Shubam, Suraj, Ravi, Aman, Rajpreet, Ashutosh, Abhay, Anmol, Rajreet and Ranjot won Bronze medals.
Parminder Singh Thind, President District Boxing Association, and Rami Kant, Secretary and Coach of DBA said, the players of Ferozepur had already got distinction in sports.
On this occasion, Balwant Singh District Sports Officer said, Ferozepur despite being a border town have produced many Olympians. He said, the boxing medal winners will be a role model for the other players to come forward to participate in sports.
He said, it is a matter of pleasure for Ferozepur that its nine players have bagged nine medals in the state level competitions.
He further said, the players will be provided all infrastructure to prepared them for national and international competitions.
