Farmers hold “Insaf March” to support Kulwinder Kaur, who slapped MP Kangana Ranaut, demands impartial inquiry

Mohali, March 9, 2024: The alleged slap on Kangana had links with the farmers sitting on Dharna since February 13 and on a call from various outfits, holding “Insaf March today by the thousands of farmers in Mohali in support of now-suspended CISF woman constable Kulwinder Kaur who assaulted MP-elect of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh on 6th June.
Announcing the support to the CISF Constable Kulwinder Kaur, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political held a protest march, in which farmers from Punjab, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan participated in large numbers. This insaaf march started from Amb Sahib Gurdwara in Mohali to the office of SSP Mohali.
Later on, the farmers gave a demand letter to SSP Mohali regarding the impartial investigation of the entire incident at Chandigarh Airport. Farmer leaders also demanded to file a case against Kangana Ranaut for spreading hatred against Punjab, Punjabi and Sikhs. Farmers also protested over the video of a man in Kangana’s team beating up a woman and demanded registration of a case on this issue.
If there is injustice with Punjab’s daughter Kulwinder Kaur, BJP will be ready to face consequences but the administration should not come under the pressure of the ruling party, and investigate this incident with full honesty.
Addressing the farmers on this occasion, farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher, Amarjit Singh Mohri and Tejveer Singh informed that Kangana Ranaut has been accused of disturbing the society and spreading poison in the society earlier also and as many as 8 criminal cases are going on against Kangana Ranaut.
The farmers’ leaders said both Kulwinder Kaur and her husband are working in CISF very honestly and they have never faced any such allegations in their service while BJP leader Kangana Ranaut is a history-sheeter and facing serious charges of incitement to social unrest by making inflammatory speeches. There are already 8 criminal charges against her like defamation case by Javed Akhtar in Andheri, Mumbai, Copyright infringement for sealing the story of Banda Police Station, Mumbai and a Defamation case filed by Mahinder Kaur in 2021 at Bathinda. He said that even in 2021, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut for making hateful comments against Sikhs. Kangana has made some controversial statements against farmers, Sikhs and Punjabis in the past.
