Farmer commits suicide by jumping into Rajasthan Feeder
Ferozepur, January 24, 2020: Harassed by the Commission Agent over the dispute of receipt and payment for which a court case was going on, a farmer identified as Kashmir Singh son of Dyal Singh of Basti Pal Singh near Mallanwala reported to have committed suicide by jumping in Rajasthan Feeder.
Giving this information, Gurbachan Singh son of the farmer said, a case was going on in the court over a receipt-payment dispute with the Commission Agent and the Commission Agent was harassing the farmer in connivance with the police and his father was under stress and tension.
He said, today morning, my father had gone to Gurdwara by informing in the family but when he did not return for hours together, his motorcycle was found near the headworks on the bank of Rajasthan Feeder.
An intimation to this effect has been given to the police and suicide note from his pocket has been recovered which was taken into custody and further investigations started.
