Excise staff attacked during liquor den raid

Ferozepur, May 5, 2018:  The excise department Inspector and police party team on Friday busted a racket selling cheap Indian-made foreign liquor – IMFL have attacked bricks and stones and police have booked seven persons on the statement of officials.

ASI Ashok Kumar informed that on the statement of Jaspal Handa, Excise Inspector informed that on a tip-off he along with the police party had gone for a raid at the resident of Harjinder Singh son of Balbir Singh.

Following the raid, 26 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered.  Harjinder Singh accused along with Ranjit Singh, Inderjit Singh Manjit Singh, Harjit Singh, Kulwinder Kaur and Pammi abused him and attacked with bricks and stones beside torn of the uniform of Hav Lakhwinder Singh.

Further investigation is on but no arrest has been made so far.
