Education Providers to boycott ‘Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab’ 

Ferozepur, September 17, 2017 :  The Education Providers in the education department are upset over the obnoxious remarks by Secretary Education while addressing the teachers on live progrmme organized on the Eduset.

Jasbir Sisngh, District President after holding a meeting of Education Providers at local Saragarhi Gurdwara said, on September 15, Secretary Education has used unwanted remarks for the teaching class ‘to take the maximum work from the Education Providers treating them as laborer’.

All the employees working on contract basis have condemned the attitude of the Secretary Education and there is a great resentment among the teaching fraternity over these remarks from a senior officer, he added.

Education Providers are not afraid of work but the government must regularize them by implementing the equal work equal pay law, he opined.

He further said that there was a meeting with regard to regularization of employees on July 18 with the Secretary Education but there is initiative to process the case in this direction rather unwanted words have been used on the Edusat programme.

Giving a warning to the government, Ajmer Singh Aulakh, State President have decided to boycott the ‘Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab’ programme in case there is no solution by the government and the Secretary Education.
