Dr.Satinder Singh, National Awardee himself opts border village on promotion as school head

Ferozepur, April 10, 2017: In the recent promotion orders of 191 lecturers as Principal in the state, Dr.Satinder Singh, National Awardee himself opted the Government Senior School Gatti Rajo Ki, situated at a stone’s throw of Indo-Pak border in Ferozepur district.  Perhaps, he is the first ever principal since its inception.

Dr.Satinder Singh besides his profession as educationist, is involved in various social works as President of the leading NGO of the district – AGREED Foundation.

During the posting process on promotion as Principal, Dr.Satinder Singh himself offered to serve in the remote area school of the district and opted school in village Gatti Rajo Ki situated on the banks of Satluj River.

On joining as head of the school, Dr.Satinder Singh said, because of his passion to serve the needy class, he himself opted to serve in the border village school and do something special for those who are deprived of the light of the day in the field of education. He said, he will do his best to bring distinctions among the students in the next academic session besides giving them daily tips of moral values in life.

At the time of his joining, DEO Suresh Arora and his colleagues in service and retired were present besides people from the village.
