DOCTORS TAKE PLEDGE TO NURTURE PLANTS TO BOOST GREEN CAMPAIGN OF MAYANK FOUNDATION

Ferozepur, July 9, 2020 Barely a month after the launch of the iconic ‘Each one, Plant one’, an initiative by Mayank Foundation to boost greenery, the residents from various walks of life have given a big thumb up to the cause. The city doctors have also come forward to plant saplings. Notably, the foundation had honoured the renowned physicians of the town on the National Doctor’s Day on July 1.

The doctors were briefed about the campaign to boost ecology and environment to which they decided to return the favours by planting saplings. The physicians also took oath to nurture the plants and will apprise the public about the need to plant saplings.

Dr. Jyoti Datta Kalia said that it gave her an inner happiness to plant a sapling. Everyone has a role to play in making our environment green and clean. Whereas, Dr. Vinod Khanna thanked the foundation to take up a noble cause of serving the environment. Dr. Harsh Bhola and Dr. Ashwani Kalia also expressed joy at planting saplings.

Informing about the success of the campaign, Secretary of the foundation Rakesh Kumar said that many people are coming up to contribute to the cause of environment by planting saplings. Last year, our organisation planted saplings in various educational institutes in the city. this year, the people are taking this initiative on their own and sending us their photos planting saplings. More than 150 persons have already shared such photos. Hence, the campaign had already become a hit, he added.
