Divisional Commandant Home Guards gets Covid vaccine
Ferozepur, March 1, 2021: In the Covid vaccination drive for the frontline warrior, today Charanjit Singh, Divisional Commandant, Punjab Home Guards, and Civil Defense, Ferozepur Division got the Covid vaccination in the Phase-2 campaign against coronavirus.
Added here, In the Ferozepur district, 3,647 frontline workers have been vaccinated including 984 for the second dose in the district. In all, 90,837 samples were taken, against which 86152 were found negative. Among 4640 positive cases, 4458 have recovered and still, 30 are active cases while the reports of 45 samples are still awaited. However, there had been 152 deaths in the district so far since the outbreak of coronavirus. With the start of Corona vaccination after research in India, no case of vaccine-induced death so far reported, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has stated in the media.
Sharing his experience, Charanjit Singh said, “It’s simple”. He said I motivated my staff and jawans to go ahead with the vaccine without any fear. So far, 75 percent of staff of Punjab Home Guards has got the Covid vaccination. Meanwhile, making an appeal to other frontline workers, he said, the vaccination has no side effects and whosoever gets the message from Health Department, he must visit the designated place for vaccination, to make successful the campaign of the government to eradicate Covid-19 virus.
