DEPUTY COMMISSIONER DPS KHARBANDA PAYS VISIT TO BEAUTIFULLY RECONSTRUCTED ROUNDABOUT

Ferozepur, March 16: Continuing his endeavour for the beautification of this historical city, Er. DPS Kharbanda, today visited the newly reconstructed roundabout at Talwandi Bhai, at around 30 kms away from district headquarter. Er. DPS Kharbanda said that the entire expenditure for reconstruction and beautification has been borne by Rajwant Sodhi, a progressive farmer belonging to the region. While appreciating this effort, the deputy commissioner said that thousands of visitors come to “Land of Martyrs” to pay their obeisance to the great martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and now, reconstructed with the cost of Rs. 12 Lakhs, this roundabout at Talwandi Bhai will also be a site to watch for the visitors.

It is pertinent to mention here that due to stringent efforts made by the Deputy Commissioner Er. DPS Kharbanda, three roundabouts situated at the national highway-95, from Ferozepur Cantonment area to Border road, were landscaped and fitted with fountains and decorative lights in December 2015.

On this occasion, Rajwant Singh Sodhi, the owner of Goka Feed, Satpal Singh Talwandi, SGPC Member, Rupinder Singh, President, Municipal Council, Talwandi Bhai, Jaspal Singh Brar, Pawan Kumar Gulati, Sukhwinder Singh, Chairman Market Committee, Jagjit Singh Brar, CEO, Municipal Council were also present.
