“Women of Substance” title awarded to the esteemed guests
Ferozepur, May 23, 2015 : Women were celebrated in a programme titled “The Celebration of Womanhood” by the Delhi Public School Delhi Public School –under the Aegis of Delhi Public School New Delhi – on Ferozepur-Faridkot road.
Added here that DPS is the first school in Ferozepur and its neighbouring districts to meet the requirements of the people, tap the true potential of students and nurture accordingly, so as to prepare them for 21st century skills. The idea behind the opening of this school is to make learning a joyous journey and not a burden.
Ms.Hasleen Kaur, Femina Miss India Earth(2011) who is also an alumini of Delhi Public School, was the Guest of Honour.
Mrs.Dolly Bedi, one of the oldest alumini of Delhi Public School and a well known figure in Ferozepur, was one of the eminent personalities to grace the occasion. She was joined by Mrs. Geetanjali Sodhi, mother of ace national and International shooter Mr.Ronjon Sodhi and leading Gynaecologist Dr. Mrs.T.S .Dhillon.
Principal, DPS ,Ferozepur.,Mrs.Ikwinder S. Singh introduced the eminent women to the students of DPS Ferozepur with a sense of pride and presented them with a green thought i.e. a sapling.
Giving this information, she said, the programme included a Ramp Walk by the teachers, a dance drama and dance performances by the teachers and students of DPS.
The title of “Women of Substance” was awarded to all the esteemed guests. The students of DPS, Ferozepur broke off for the summer vacations looking forward to many more such learning opportunities.
