Ferozepur, May 10, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Kulwant Singh has brought a smile on the face of a 50-years old Vijay Kumar of Maharashtra state who got stuck in Ferozepur amid lockdown by providing him new clothes, food, and money.

 

Filled with happiness and surprised at this help, Vijay Kumar said that he has never imagined he would be dealt like a family member.

 

Revealing the story, Vijay Kumar said that he was on a visit to Ferozepur to attend some urgent work at railway division but couldn’t leave the city due to nation-wide lockdown. Soon he went out of cash and even fell ill with nowhere to go, said, Vijay Kumar.

 

Coming to his rescue, the district administration Ferozepur got him admitted to the civil hospital Ferozepur where treatment was provided to him. He further added that the officials arranged for his accommodation besides promising to arrange for his safe return to Maharashtra. Vijay Kumar expressed his gratitude towards the district administration for all the relief provided to him.

 

While providing help to Vijay Kumar, Kanoongo Rakesh Aggarwal said that the DC Ferozepur had come to know that the stranded Vijay Kumar had no clothes, food, and money.

 

Learning to his situation the DC sent new clothes, food, milk, and money for him, which has been handed over to Vijay Kumar, added the Kanoongo.

 

He further added that the district administration was committed to providing every possible help to the people of the other states stuck in Ferozepur.
