Cyclists from Nagpur with specific mission gets warm welcome at Ferozepur
Ferozepur, November 10, 2018: Sahil Dhongle and Ritesh Madu Bhoyer – BA 2nd year and BSc 1st year students from Nagpur – a city known for Diamond Crossing of Railway, Zero Mile Stone and Oranges – who started their journey on October 21, 2018, with a mission to create awareness among the people to give Addiction-Free Youngsters’ India and Join the Indian Army – were given a warm welcome at Bikenar Mishtan Bhandar, Ferozepur City by the Hussainiwala Riders Ferozepur led by Sohan Singh Sodhi a renowned cyclists, Er.Navneet Kumar, Er.Gurmukh Singh and Harbir Singh Sandhu, Speaking to the media persons, Sahil and Ritesh said, we will be back to Nagpur on 2nd December after covering around 5,000 km.
Earlier they visited Hussainiwala Martyr's Memorial to pay floral tributes to martyrs – Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
On asking as to how this cycling marathon came to their mind, they said, we have seen the youths smoking in our area and decided to highlight the message to give Addiction-Free Youngsters’ India and join the Indian Army.
They said, we have covered around ten schools during our journey on cycle and also stopped at the crowded places to convey our message.
Depending upon the next destination, we cover between 120-150 km per day and our lodging and boarding arrangements have been made by Krida-Bharti which has its branches all over India, they said.
They further said, the age between 16-20 years is a tender age when they can be motivated to choose the right path and if at all, they want to do something adventurous in their life, can join the Indian Army to enjoy the different life instead of indulging into the world of drugs.
They manage the minor repair and puncture of the cycle at their own and people on the way had been helpful to them.
The paddlers were given a floral send-off for the rest of their journey.
