CT University felicitates 40 Teachers and 10 Principals of Ferozepur

Ferozepur, November 26, 2017: Honoring teachers for their selfless efforts in changing the lives of students have always shown deep respect for them. Keeping this in mind, CT University has organized the ‘Best Teacher Award Ceremony’ at Hotel Aliza today. This is the first such event in this region. Dr. Lalit Sharma, Associate Director, SBS State Technical Campus remained Chief Guest for the occasion.

 

The ceremony involved felicitation of 40 teachers and 10 Principals from different schools and colleges of Ferozepur like HM DAV School, Cantonment Board Senior Secondary School, Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Dev Samaj Arya Senior Secondary School, KV No-1, RSD College etc.

 

The title of ‘Best Teacher’ based on the survey conducted amongst students regarding best teachers of various schools and colleges as they nominated the name for the teachers who deserve to get the Best Teacher Award for their services.

 

The event was started by showing the play on the journey of CT Group of Institutions in the worthy presence of S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chancellor, CT University) and Dr Harsh Sadarwarti (Pro Vice-Chancellor, CT University). They felicitated all the teachers and Principals present on this occasion and honoured them with a title of Best Teacher, awarding them a certificate and Memento recognizing their contribution to the teaching profession.  The awarded teachers on the occasion shared their teaching experiences with each other during informal lunch at the culmination of the event.

 

Further, many queries from the audience regarding courses and vision of CT were cleared by the senior authorities of CT Group.

 

Chief Guest Dr Lalit Sharma said, “As far as teaching is concerned, then only it’s the only profession who gets true respect. Thus, teaching is the most sacred profession of life and we must maintain the stature of this profession.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Harsh Sadarwarti (Pro Vice-Chancellor, CT University) described the role of a teacher as that of nation builders and true role models for students. He further added that we at CT University being educationists understand and laud the important role that the teachers play in the overall development of the society. He also added, “We’ve also honoured teachers and Principals of Ludhiana and surrounding areas as well.”

 

S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chancellor, CT University) – named after the first and last alphabet of his name –CT – expressed his gratitude to all the teachers present on this occasion. He said, “Such awards not only appreciate their work but their profession as well. These awards help them in giving due recognition in the society.” 

During the interaction session, he said, we have forgotten moral values which we are reviving at the University level. He further said, Go and watch the nature of people around you and you yourself will solve most of your problems.
