Crime Surge in Ferozepur: Two attackers open fire on trader
Ferozepur, September 6, 2024: Ferozepur is witnessing a troubling surge in crimes and gang wars, creating an atmosphere of fear among residents. Just three days after a shocking triple murder incident, another person has fallen victim to a targeted shooting, highlighting the growing lawlessness in the area.
According to reports, Gurmeet Singh Kala, a local trader (Artiya) from Ferozepur, was attacked by two unknown assailants on a motorcycle while he was on his way from his shop to his home. The attackers fired multiple gunshots at Gurmeet Singh, leaving him seriously injured. He has since been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
The increasing clashes among gangs and criminal organizations are posing a significant challenge to law and order in the region. Despite police efforts to arrest gang members and conduct raids to curb criminal activities, stabilizing the situation remains difficult.
Earlier this week, three individuals, including a married woman, were shot dead near Gurudwara Akalgarh Sahib in Ferozepur city. The attack involved six assailants on two motorcycles who surrounded a car carrying five people and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Traders and ordinary citizens in Ferozepur are urging the government and police to implement stronger security measures.
