Cop shoots wife first, later commits suicide

Ferozepur, October 4, 2019: In a tragic incident, an ASI posted in Excise Department, today reported to have shot his wife first and later on committed suicide in village Kaliawala.

The victim cop has been identified as Baljit Singh 48 son of Gurdial Singh of village Mishriwala.

As per the information, Baljit Singh had gone to Kaliawala few days back at his in-laws where they had confrontation over some issue and fired on his wife Charanjit Kaur sitting on the chair in the courtyard.  When she fell down on the ground, Baljit Singh shot himself .

Later on, both were taken to hospital in Moga where Baljit Singh died while Charanjit Kaur is still under treatment.

As per doctor’s report, the condition of Charanjit Kaur is serious and all out efforts are being made to save her.

On the other hand, the concerned police station, after taking into possession the dead body of Baljit Singh, started further proceedings in the case.

However, the real reason for cause of dispute could not be ascertained.
