Ferozepur, March 15: A controversy has cropped up over the selection for Ferozepur Municiapl Council  President – Ashwani Grover – with backstabbing by the party leadership with Devinder Bajaj, three time BJP Councilor serving the party for the last 18 years.

Devinder Bajaj was also assured to be elected as President during the last term but later on Ashwani Grover managed being close to State BJP President.  But he did not revolt and continue to work for the party.

After having closed door meeting with his supporters, Davinder Bajaj decided to resign from the posts in Blocks along with dozen members. The members who have submitted resignation include Davinder Narang General Secretary, Rajan Sharma, Sukhwinder Singh Sukha, Ashwani Monga, Chander Bha, Shivam, Kishore Kumar, Vice Presidents, Rakesh Monga and Jatinder Kumar, Secretaries, and Rajiv Mehta Cashier.

 
As per the talk of the town, a day before the selection of President for MC, Devinder Bajaj was even asked to make arrangements for pump and show installation ceremony  but the tables were reversed at the nick of the hour.

Expressing his resentment over the decision of the party, Devinder Bajaj said, he will oppose the wrong-doings by continuing in the party as a soldier.
