Contractual Employees hold ‘Jago March’ in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 13, 2016 : A ‘Jago March’ was organized by Joint Front to express their concern over non-regularisation of large number of teachers and other employees working  on contract for the last more than ten yers.

The march started from Shani Mandir Cantt to residence of MLA of SAD Joginder Singh Jindu via sabzi mandi. During the march teachers raised anti-government slogans.

Later addressing a mammoth gathering the employees’ leaders Balkar Singh, Rupinder Singh of water supply and sanitaion department, Jagsir Singh Gill and Sandeep Sehgal from SSA/RMSA teachers union, Kamaljit Kaur and Baljit Kaur, NRHM employees association, Gurbachan Singh, Harpreet Singh of 5178 master cadre teachers Union stated that the government had not been responding to their demands to regularise their services.

There are a large number of employees who had been working since 10 years in different department , but had not been regularised so far. Joint Morcha demanded that the CM should have a soft corner for the contractul employees and should convene a meeting with the Union to listen them and sort out their problem amicably.
