Constitution Day celebrations held at Shanti Vidya Mandir
Ferozepur, November 26, 2020: Today, Constitution Day was celebrated at Shanti Vidya Mandir and Suresh Kumar Goyal, Chief Judicial Magistrate was the Chief Guest of the function, accompanied by Amanpreet Singh, CJM cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority.
Constitution Day also known as National Law Day, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
The Chief Guest was welcomed by Rajjni Madahar, Principal of the school followed with the lighting of ‘jyoti’ before Devi Sarsvati.
Simranjeet Kaur delivered a speech on the topic of the Constitution and entire students reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian Constitution, followed by a patriotic song.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Suresh Kumar, CJM Chief Guest and Amanpreet Singh,CJM cum Secretary DLSA said we must follow the rules of the Constitution. They also put wiser the students about fundamental rights and our duties adding that we should not misuse the rights provided for our welfare.
Talking about the Corona, they also said, we should also follow the corona protocols given the government from time to time, to win over the virus.
Advocate Rohit Garg sharing his views said the day is celebrated to remember and honour Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar.
